Driving in Israel in General has somewhat of a daring nature to it. Street signs will warn you two seconds before a critical turn on a highway and tailgating is a national pastime. Although all street signs will have English translations, the Hebrew street names can detract attention as we decide that it is Ulpan time to read Hebrew. There are throughfares and tunnels, windy roads and hilly roads, drivers that think they are still in an F-16 and lots of cabs. Overall driving in Israel is safe but it does take concentration. When driving anywhere in Israel, take your travel visa and passport along with your Drivers License as this is required.
