When making Aliyah, there are always surprises. For me, the blandness of the all beige stone buildings minus the character of diverse shapes, color and surrounding greenery I was used to, felt strange and impersonal. Kind of like talking to a wall. It takes a while to adjust to many of the new features of Israel, some delightful, some not so. As somone who spent her childhood ferrying back and forth with her family, I made it my business to pick up as much of the nuances, meaning and cultural richness of the country. Israel is a place where you feel at home, where you can ask anyone on the street a question and if they don't know the answer they will pull up their directory on their cell phone and find someone who does. They will even call them for you.
Since my love of Israel and understanding of how things "work" here has been honed over the years, I'd like to share my wisdom in navigating the system, the shopping, the internet, the bill paying and whatever else goes along with setting up shop. I sound like a native in both languages and can advocate for you with particularly challenging situations and clients.
I also accompany families on outings, events, government offices, shopping for a simcha, shopping for the first time, buying appliances and furnishings both used and new and in general make your life easier.
To redecorate, set up home in a user friendly way, organize or just the overwhelming unpacking are all services I provide. Having your furniture arranged and kitchen organized once, will give you the relaxation and comfort of their easy use for years.
In terms of language I translate documents back and forth and can help you by setting up an inexpensive website in both languages that features your business or event, rewrite your resume, create brochures and flyers or advertising and marketing for a business you would like to import, bring with you, set up or improve.
